Hello again my friends Olga, Natalia & Julia, I extend my thanks again for the way you looked after me while I was in Kharkov. Thank you for the Christmas celebration that you held in the office, I still can't believe that we drank 3 or 4 bottles of champagne that night and later in the bar I still managed to drink some vodka which Natalia said that I must drink the way that the Ukrainians do, neat with a slice of lemon. That night it was a 'little chilly' to say the least and I don't know how I stayed on my feet on the ice after all that drink, I slept well that night.
The apartment I stayed in this time was wonderful, very warm and loads of space and about a 5 minute walk from the centre of town.
Again I was provided with a top level of service from all at the office. While I was there Natalia took me to see the Ukrainian circus which was very good, then Tatiana and I went ice skating, ten pin bowling, the casino and to the opera. We ate out most of the time and I still can't believe how cheap it was and after we walked around the main town centre, Independence square looked very nice with the New Year tree all light up in blue as well as the trees surrounding the square, it was a pity that I could not get a good picture as my hands were shaking, did I mention that it was cold :)
Again I had a wonderful time in Kharkov a city that will have a special place in my heart. I could go on all day about the city but you will just have to go and see it for yourself to believe it. I know that you will be treated as a friend by all at the office and I’m sure that you will have a great time in the city. I am looking forward to my next trip in May to see everyone again especially Tatiana.
